Annapurna Interactive acquired South African studio 24 Bit Games

Publisher Annapurna Interactive announced the purchase of South African studio 24 Bit Games. The cost of the transaction was not disclosed, and the personnel and management of the acquired company “will work as before.” Moreover, the publisher intends to expand the staff of developers.


We have deep respect for Annapurna’s approach to building a portfolio of great games, its value system for creating and growing IP, and its culture. It has been a pleasure to work together over the years and we believe we are joining Annapurna at an exciting time of growth and expansion.

24 Bit Games was founded in 2012 and has been porting and co-developing games such as Cocoon, Neon White and Maquette.
