Apple now seems to have decided to remove the mask requirement for most corporate employees. According to an internal memo obtained by The Verge , the company said that in light of current circumstances, most places will no longer need to wear face masks.
Stating that employees can continue to wear masks if they prefer, Apple also underlined that everyone’s decision whether to wear a mask should be respected.
In addition to the removal of the mask requirement, there is no official statement yet about what the company’s return to office policies will be. Under normal circumstances, according to Apple’s recently announced return to work policy, employees were required to work from the office for at least one day for a while. Accordingly, after May 2, employees would have to work from the office two days a week, and then from May 23, employees would have to be at the office three days a week. It was stated that if employees are uncomfortable entering the office, they will once again have the option to work completely remotely.
Apple also announced that it plans to slow down hiring in 2023 . According to the shared information, it was claimed that Apple’s decision would not affect every team within the company.
