The AppleCare + service also debuts in Italy . The package offers insurance against theft and loss of Apple products . It therefore adds to the benefits already offered by AppleCare, the plan that covers accidental damage.
The plan – which can be purchased with a monthly or one-time payment – offers protection for up to two thefts or losses every 12 months. In case of loss of the iPhone , the user can pay an excess of 129 euros to get a replacement smartphone.
The cost of the plan for Italy is set at a maximum of € 14.49 per month or € 289 per year – this for the more expensive models, while choosing an entry-level iPhone will pay a little less. The coverage lasts 24 months, while Apple for our country has entrusted the insurance company AIG, which is an official partner of the AppleCare + program.
However, there is an important condition: in order for the user to be entitled to have the smartphone replaced by paying the excess, it is important that the ‘ Where is my iPhone ‘ function is activated at the time of loss or theft.
