Arcane: here is Bridging the rift


Riot Games and Fortiche Production reveal the secrets of Arcane in a five-episode documentary: the first is already available.
Riot Games has officially kicked off “Bridging the Rift,” a docu-series that traces the creation of one of last fall’s flagship animated series, Arcane, based on League of Legends. Through five episodes, broadcast for free on the League of Legends YouTube channel from August 4 to September 1 every Thursday at 5:00 pm Italian time, fans will have the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of the series. Riot Games and Fortiche will tell the story of Arcane from its inception to global launch.
One record after another
Co-produced by Riot Games and French animation studio Fortiche Production, the series has quickly made it to the top of the Netflix charts since its debut in November 2021, holding the top three weeks in a row, and reaching the top 10 over. 52 countries. The series recently won nine Annie Awards, and is in the running for the Best Animated Program and Best Sound Editing awards at next September’s Emmy Awards. Arcane was also included in the official selection of the Annecy 2022 Festival, in the TV / Film category, with episode 6 “When the Empire Collapses”.

When the second season comes out
Made by the French studio Fortiche – the studio behind various Riot projects such as Get Jinxed, Rise, Warriors and ENEMY by Imagine Dragons or POP / STARS by K / DA – the series shows the origins of iconic champions such as Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn, Jayce and Viktor – in the midst of tough fighting between Piltover and Zaun. A second season has been announced, whose launch date has not yet been revealed: all we officially know is that it will definitely not see the light in 2022, with the most optimistic expectations speak of seeing it in the second half of 2023.
