Assassin’s Creed Red will receive ray tracing for global illumination and virtual geometry, and stealth elements will be expanded

Information about the new part of the popular action series from Ubisoft called Assassin’s Creed Red, which will take place in feudal Japan, has finally leaked, revealing game mechanics and engine features.

Let us remind you that Assassin’s Creed Red is scheduled for release before March 2025. According to Insider Gaming, they received a preliminary version of the game, revealing gameplay and engine details.

It is reported that the new part will not be based on a completely new engine, but an updated version called Anvil Pipeline. According to the plan, it should unite the work of all studios involved in development, optimizing the process of creating future parts. Players can expect technologies such as ray tracing for global illumination and virtual geometry. In addition, they promise improved animation, a parkour system, dynamic weather conditions and much more.

In terms of gameplay, according to Insider Gaming , Assassin’s Creed Red’s combat system is largely reminiscent of its predecessor Valhalla, but with more brutal dismemberments and decapitations. At the same time, stealth elements will become more important, allowing you to extinguish torches, hide in tall grass and bushes, and also fall to the ground to remain undetected.

Another innovation will be Vaults, an expanded version of Settlements from Valhalla. There, players will be able to build an arsenal, houses and more with extensive customization options.

Unlike Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Red will likely only be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
