These days on the web there has been insistence on a possible second smartphone from Nothing. Apparently this is a hoax.
Carl Pei denies the rumors: but what Nothing Phone (1) Lite ! It will never come out. But then again, would that really make sense?
These days on the web there has been insistence on a possible second smartphone from Nothing. Only a few weeks have passed since the launch of the Nothing Phone (1), yet the machine of rumors and speculations had already started.
According to some tipster, Nothing would have been working on an even more accessible version of the smartphone. The Nothing Phone (1) Lite, a low-mid-range smartphone . Among the few sacrifices, the device would have done without the characteristic LED lighting system mounted on the rear body. Not a small waiver, considering that it is the trademark of Nothing Phone (1).
For the rest, the characteristics of the smartphone would have remained almost unchanged: the same processor, RAM and a slightly larger battery thanks to the space that would have been left free by the absence of LEDs. All this for a price cut of perhaps € 100.
If that sounds unlikely to you, well, you’re right. It would not make much sense to launch a second smartphone that can be practically perfectly superimposed on the original Nothing Phone (1). In these hours, both Carl Pei and a spokesman for Nothing have categorically denied these rumors. For the moment the company is not working on any ‘Lite’ smartphone.
