Cyberpunk 2077 is getting a spiritual successor in the form of detective game Nobody Wants to Die

Nobody Wants to Die is a new cyberpunk game from Polish studio Critical Hit Games, and the first trailer, while not showing any gameplay, introduces the general retro-futuristic noir style you can expect from this detective story.

Nobody Wants to Die takes place in New York City in the year 2329. Players take on the role of a detective named James Carra, who is investigating a serial murder case in a future where those with enough money can live forever thanks to sophisticated technology. Carra will be able to use advanced tools and the ability to manipulate time to reconstruct crime scenes and find suspects.

Nobody Wants to Die describes itself as an exploration of the complex moral questions raised by a future in which human life is no longer limited to the physical body, and as the trailer reveals, the game is inspired by the style of film noir. Its release is scheduled for 2024 on Steam and consoles.
