Will Final Fantasy XVI be among the protagonists of the State of Play tonight? An update to the PS Store page dedicated to the game seems to suggest this. At the moment, it is not clear what the changes have been made, but as reported by several users it is possible to note that the card was updated just yesterday and right in the vicinity of the PlayStation event.

Obviously, the hope is to finally have some more substantial updates on the game with a gameplay video accompanied perhaps with the announcement of the release date. What we do know is that tonight’s event will be dedicated to third-party titles and games in development for PS VR 2 and that this could therefore be the right opportunity to reveal to fans around the world the news regarding the eagerly awaited new final fantasy.
Moreover, the producer of the game, Naoki Yoshida, recently revealed that the game is in the final stages of development and that the new trailer for the game is now ready to be shown.
