Flood disaster in Sudan: 51 dead, 24 injured

As a result of heavy rains causing flooding in Sudan, 51 people lost their lives and 24 were injured.

Heavy rains caused flooding in Sudan’s White Nile and Nile River states.


Authorities announced that 51 people were killed and 24 injured.

The Nile River State government stated that the main roads connecting the state to other cities have been eroded by the Flood .

Sudan National Civil Defense Council Spokesperson Brigadier General Abdul Jalil Abdul Rahim said that 2,845 of 5,345 houses partially collapsed and 16 public facilities completely collapsed due to flooding.
