Google could perhaps soon, according to the data of the version 022.30.2 of the Calendar app on Android, remove the objectives function introduced in 2016.
In 2016 , Google introduced objectives into its calendar app, i.e. notes that would have been useful for carrying out certain daily activities, but it seems that the company now wants to back down and remove this function, as found in the installation file of version 2022.30 .2 of the Google Calendar app for Android , some parts of the code say the Goals will be leaving the app soon.
A string of information in the code of the Calendar app setup file says that you will still be able to see the goals that have been created in your calendar, but they won’t repeat again, and to keep track of your goals, the app suggests instead of create recurring events.
The decision to remove Goals isn’t something that should come as a surprise, in fact, Goals is yet another feature that Google wants to remove from its Calendar app. In June, once again, in an analysis of the Google Calendar installation file, users of 9to5Google found that the Big G is working to replace the Reminders feature in the Calendar app with Google Tasks.
All of these changes are likely happening because Google may want to make its Calendar app a more workspace-centric product.
