Google improves the quality of search results with artificial intelligence update

Google’s search AI can now check snippet descriptions against other high-quality online resources.

Now, Google uses its latest AI model, Multitask Unified Mode l, to make sure the information it highlights is reliable and accurate, so search can provide consensus when deciding on a snippet.

Google’s search AI can now check snippet descriptions against other high-quality online resources. Even if the sources use different words or concepts to describe the same fact or idea, he can tell if there is a general consensus for this explanation. Google says this consensus-based technique significantly improves the quality and usefulness of featured snippet callouts.

Namely; There is information that is not true, and let’s call this information “the tea maker Hüseyin died”. Although everyone agrees that this information is not true, the results can be misleading and it can sometimes be seriously difficult to reach a true result. By eliminating this problem, Google’s new update will be able to find out whether people agree in such cases and bring clearer results for us. In short, the key point in this update is “consensus”.

Google’s latest AI model is also supposed to help the results ranking system decide where it’s not appropriate to display results in a snippet, as the premise of the question is wrong. The company says featured snippets now appear 40 percent less often in these situations.

Google also announced that it will expand the use of alert messages for searches that fail to produce results that the search engine trusts.
