

AMD Senior Vice President and General Manager of Graphics Division Scott Herkelman has announced that he will be leaving the company at the end of this year.

As noted in his Twitter post, he spent the last seven years at AMD and launched three generations of the RDNA graphics architecture. In his address, Herkelman thanked his colleagues for their joint work and wished the AMD Radeon team further success.
Herkelman is an industry veteran. At one time, he also headed the GeForce direction at NVIDIA, and after briefly leaving the startup in 2016, he moved to AMD, where he has worked since then.
According to Videocardz.com, Herkelman’s place will be taken by Jack Huynh.
