Horizon Forbidden West updates with update 1.17 which introduces several new features on PS5 including support for VRR and HFR , as well as a 40fps mode. Thanks to the support for the variable refresh rate you will have an improvement of the dynamic resolution to 60Hz.

While the HFR, acronym for high frame rate , will allow you to have a refresh rate from 60 to 120 Hz for the game. But that’s not all: this new update also introduces a new graphics mode called Balanced that allows you to play at 40FPS, as long as you have a TV that supports 120 Hz .
Finally, like all the other recent updates, version 1.17 also aims to fix multiple bugs and fix some problems related to localization.
