Mass Effect 5 is in good hands – game director confirms development is headed by four BioWare veterans

Over the weekend, Michael Gamble, a veteran of the Mass Effect series since 2010, cleared up some confusion among fans. The conversation began with one BioWare fan sharing that he was under the impression that the leadership team for Mass Effect 5 was “mostly veteran developers from the original trilogy.”

In response, another Twitter user asked where the information came from, and Gamble chimed in to comment. In his response, Gamble revealed that the executive producer (himself), art director, creative director and game director are all veterans of the trilogy. He didn’t name any names, but since he’s the one helming Mass Effect 5, you can take his word for it.

Last month it was revealed that Mass Effect 5 was reportedly still in pre-production as BioWare focused on Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. Apparently, this has been going on for some time, which means it could still be many years before the Mass Effect sequel is released. Before this update, the studio celebrated N7 Day 2023 by sharing a new teaser.
