Media: Tencent is working on a mobile version of Elden Ring

Reuters, citing three sources familiar with the situation, writes that the Chinese company Tencent is adapting FromSoftware’s Elden Ring into a mobile game.

According to journalists, Tencent bought the rights to the action role-playing game back in 2022. Since then, several dozen people have been working on the prototype, but progress has been slow. In the same year, by the way, Tencent bought a 16% stake in FromSoftware.

According to Reuters, Tencent wants to make the mobile Elden Ring a shareware product with in-game purchases in the style of Genshin Impact. How a ready-made role-playing action game is adapted to this business model is unknown.

Tencent and FromSoftware do not comment on the information.
