Mobile The Witcher: Monster Slayer will be closed in 2023 – two years after the launch

CD Projekt plans to shut down The Witcher: Monster Slayer mobile . This will happen as part of the reorientation of the company’s business exclusively to the audience of PC and consoles.
The game was released in July 2021 in the wake of the popularity of Pokemon Go , whose fame thundered around the world. Probably, the players didn’t like hunting monsters from a darker Slavic setting as early as January 31, 2023, the game will be removed from the App Store and Google Play , and players who managed to download the application will lose the opportunity to launch it after June 30.
Employees of the internal studio  Spokko , responsible for the development of The Witcher: Monster Slayer, will be redirected to other projects – apparently, the team itself will be disbanded, and its employees will be engaged in new AAA games based on the company’s franchises .
At the moment, most of CD Projekt is working on the Phantom Liberty add  -on for Cyberpunk 2077 , and part of the team is preparing a re-release of The Witcher 3 for PC and consoles, which is expected to be released on December 14th.
