Not a masterpiece, but a very good game: Banishers Ghosts of New Eden scores from Don’t Nod

A day before the release, the embargo on the publication of reviews of the role-playing action Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden from Focus Entertainment and Don’t Nod (Life is Strange, Vampyr) was lifted. The game receives strong ratings from the gaming press, even if there are not enough stars in the sky.

Gaming journalists praise Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden for its excellent storytelling, thoughtful and immersive world, heavy emphasis on non-linearity and choices that influence the plot and endings. They also praised the characters and attention to the lore.

Reviewers also considered the abundance of activities and side quests (some deep and opening up other side quests), sound and video production, and unique boss fights as pluses.

The disadvantages of Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden in their materials included a not very streamlined combat system, weak role-playing mechanics, a confusing map in which it is easy to get lost, high difficulty at an average level and a number of bugs.
