Nothing Phone (2a) will be presented on March 5 – the Glyph interface will still be

The head of Nothing, Carl Pei, published a video in which he confirmed the existence of the mid-budget smartphone Nothing Phone (2a), and also announced that its presentation would take place on March 5.

In the video, Carl Pei, in his typical manner, criticized competitors for not thinking about users and releasing only expensive models, abandoning budget solutions.

It also became known that at first the device will be available to a narrow circle of people in the United States under the Nothing Developer Program. The company’s first smartphone was launched in the same way – the user pays a partial cost of the device and takes it for testing.

In the video, Nothing also refuted recent renders of the Nothing Phone (2a), saying that the device will still have Glyph LEDs, albeit not as sophisticated as in older models.

Expected characteristics of Nothing Phone (2a):

  • 6.7-inch AMOLED screen from BOE and Visionox with 2412×1084 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate

  • Processor Dimensity 7200

  • 8/128 GB or 12/256 GB memory

  • Cameras: main sensor Samsung ISOCELL S5KGN9 50 MP, ultra-wide-angle sensor Samsung ISOCELL S5KJN1 50 MP and front Sony IMX615 32 MP

  • The ultra-wide-angle sensor is similar to that used in the older Nothing Phone (2), the front sensor is similar to the one used in OnePlus 10

There will be two colors: black and white. The price of the Nothing Phone (2a) is rumored to be under 400 euros.
