One-hour documentary about Hideo Kojima released on Disney+

Director Glen Milner, best known for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, premiered the documentary Hideo Kojima: Uniting Worlds, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival last summer. The film follows the legendary game designer’s unique journey and gives a behind-the-scenes look at his creative process as he launched his own independent studio. You can watch the documentary on Disney+.

This hour-long documentary explores the early life and creative inspirations of Hideo Kojima, his relationship with his family, and how growing up in post-war Japan made Kojima the mastermind behind the iconic anti-war franchise Metal Gear Solid. Most of the running time is dedicated to the work on Death Stranding at Kojima Productions.

Kojima’s colleagues also appear in the film: Guillermo Del Toro, Grimes, George Miller, Norman Reedus from The Walking Dead, Woodkid and the band Chvrches.

Kojima’s studio is currently working on three games and a feature film based on Death Stranding.
