Today OPPO held a launch event in China where it launched OPPO Band 2 along with a number of new products such as the Watch 3 series, a K9x smart TV, and more.
The new fitness band is packed with some impressive features like a 1.57-inch AMOLED display , up to 14 days of battery life, and over 100 sports modes . OPPO Band 2 is available in variants: NFC and non-NFC. The features are the same on both. The new OPPO Band 2 features a large 1.57-inch AMOLED display that is on par with some smartwatches in size, The display has a maximum brightness of 500 nits. From a design standpoint, the smart band looks pretty premium, it has a squirrel-like structure with no buttons on either side. It measures 45.3 x 29.1 x 10.6mm and weighs just 33g.
The strap supports up to 200 watch faces including custom multifunction dials, plus it comes with a built-in AI 2.0 wear dial that will allow users to match the band’s face to their outfits. In addition, OPPO Band 2 supports more than 100 sports modes including Running, Training, Swimming and more. The much sought after e-sport mode has also been added to the band.
OPPO Band 2 is powered by an Apollo 3.5 processor paired with 8MB of PSRRAM and 128MB of Nand memory , the fitness band is equipped with a built-in 200mAh battery that can last up to 14 days and the band supports magnetic fast charging . Additionally, the new OPPO band comes with 24/7 heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring and more and the band is also rumored to be 5ATM waterproof.
As mentioned, the OPPO Band 2 also has an NFC variant that supports offline payments on dual Alipay and WeChat platforms and can be used without a mobile phone, and as for the release and availability, OPPO Band 2 is available for the preorder in China. The Standard version of OPPO Band 2 is priced at 249 Yuan, while the NFC version is priced at 279 Yuan, it will go on sale in China on August 19.
