Passenger boat sinks in India: 3 dead, 17 missing

Passenger Boat sank in Uttar Pradesh, India . While 3 people, including 1 child, died in the accident, 17 people were lost.

Police said that search and rescue efforts are continuing for 17 people who disappeared in the Yamuna River, but they are unlikely to find them alive.

Police Spokesperson Prashant Kumar said that 15 passengers were rescued in the accident and said, “The bodies of 2 women and 1 child were found in the rescue operation carried out by the security forces, divers and the state disaster relief force. Work continues in the area.”
