On the 2nd, Frictional Games, the developer of the horror game Amnesia series and Soma, released a trailer featuring the gameplay of the new Amnesia: The Bunker on its official YouTube channel. It is a new work released two years after the release of the previous work, Amnesia: Reverse.

What can be confirmed in the trailer video for Amnesia: The Bunker is that befitting a series that is evaluated as a horror game, a unique horror atmosphere surrounds the entire map. In the meantime, Amnesia has been praised for its mild taste as the horror elements fade as the series goes on. However, in this work, we will adopt a semi-open-world method that is different from the linear structure of the previous series to provide a new sense of fear.

Unlike the previous works that dealt with the later period as the series continued so far, the historical background is World War I, which is a little earlier than the previous Amnesia: Rebirth, set in 1937. Therefore, it is expected that it will be more like an abduction rather than a sequel to Amnesia: Rebirth.

Amnesia: The Bunker tells the story of a French soldier during World War I who is left alone in a bunker and faces fear in the dark. In addition, dynamic monsters that react to the player’s actions, tactile and physics-based interactions, and various solutions for problem-solving in a non-linear open world are prepared.

On the other hand, the main characters of the Amnesia series all have their evil deeds before eating Amnesia and getting amnesia. Therefore, finding out what happened before the main character of this work suffered from amnesia is expected to be a key point of gameplay.

Amnesia: The Bunker is scheduled to be released on PC and Xbox series X/S, XBO, and PS4 in March 2023, and whether or not Korean language support is currently undecided.
