Reuters: Nintendo Switch 2 will receive a custom chip from NVIDIA

Reuters sources reported that the Nintendo Switch 2 console will use a custom solution from NVIDIA. The current generation runs on Tegra X1, so the news is not particularly surprising.

Last spring, the developer reasoned that if Nintendo abandoned Tegra X1 in the new Switch, then backward compatibility would be at risk. However, recently rumors began to circulate that Switch 2 will be backward compatible with digital copies and cartridges.

According to insiders, Nintendo Switch 2 will be presented next month. A partner Nintendo Direct is rumored to be coming this week.
