Sales of Resident Evil 4 Remake exceeded 7 million copies in a year

Capcom announced that sales of the Resident Evil 4 remake , almost a year after its release, have exceeded 7 million copies. The original horror release took place on March 24, 2023. Total sales of the Resident Evil franchise now exceed 154 million copies.



Capcom last reported sales of Resident Evil 4 Remake at the end of December 2023. At that time the circulation was 6.48 million copies. In February, the “Golden Edition” was released with all the released updates and DLC.


The Resident Evil franchise is a series of survival horror games in which players use a variety of weapons and other items to escape terrifying situations. Since the release of the first game in 1996, cumulative sales of games in the series have exceeded 154 million units. Now, over 28 years later, continued support from passionate fans around the world makes the series Capcom’s flagship title.



Resident Evil 4 Remake is available on PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, as well as iOS.
