Some Helldivers 2 players don’t quit the game to save their place

Helldivers 2 players are calling for an automatic AFK kick feature after many users revealed they were using a simple trick to avoid entry queues. Despite the wild popularity of Helldivers 2, its massive success also brought its fair share of problems.

Since its release on February 8, Helldivers 2 has struggled with stability issues, crashes, and matchmaking errors. Luckily, developers regularly release updates that gradually but surely resolve these issues, but many users still face annoying bugs that sometimes result in lost progress.

To avoid long waits to log into Helldivers 2, some players are reporting that they simply leave their game running so they can jump right back into battle. Of course, this strategy only increases the wait time for players who choose to enter the game properly. To solve this problem, many Helldivers 2 fans are calling on Arrowhead Game Studios to implement a mechanism to automatically log off from the game when inactive. The studio’s CEO acknowledged fans’ requests, saying he had already raised the issue with the Helldivers 2 team.

It’s no surprise that Helldivers 2 has been plagued by server issues, with the game overtaking Call of Duty and Fortnite to become the most-played PlayStation game over the weekend. And on Steam, Helldivers 2 once again surpassed its peak concurrent players, reaching 409,000 users.
