Star Wars: The Acolyte will be released this summer

Collider, citing its sources, reported that the premiere of the series Star Wars: The Acolyte will take place in the summer of 2024. The exact release date has not been announced; Disney itself does not comment on the information.


The showrunner of “Acolyte” is Leslye Headland (“A Matryoshka Life”).

The series will take place during the twilight of the High Republic. It will be a mystical thriller about the revival of the dark side of the force. An Acolyte is a student of a Sith Master. The source of inspiration for the creators was the films of Akira Kurosawa.

Jonas Suotamo, who played Chewbacca in the new trilogy, was cast as the Jedi Wookiee, while Lee Jeong-jae (Squid Game) was cast as the Jedi Master. According to media reports, Dafne Keen, known to viewers for her roles in “Logan” and “His Dark Materials,” will also appear in the series.
