Stardew Valley Update 1.6 will allow players to “walk” past pets a full 0.75 seconds faster

Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone has revealed another patch note from the upcoming 1.6 update, and while it may seem minor at first, it’s a welcome usability improvement and time saver.

This note is the third in Eric’s list of posts in recent days. The developer decided to publish one change at a time in anticipation of the update’s launch on March 19. This time it was about reducing the time required to pass by a pet when colliding with it, from 1.5 seconds to 0.75 seconds.

At first glance, it’s a very small thing, but it’s details like this that overall create a more enjoyable and less annoying gaming experience. Casual players probably won’t notice this change, but gamers with hundreds of hours of Stardew Valley experience will definitely notice this feature. If you add up all 0.75 seconds over 500 hours of play, you will definitely gain a few extra minutes.
