Starting with Season 10, new Overwatch 2 heroes will be available without upgrading the Battle Pass

Blizzard has announced global changes to the monetization of Overtwatch 2 . Starting from Season 10, all new heroes of the shooter will be unlocked for all players by default right at the start – you will no longer have to upgrade a battle pass or buy a paid one.

All existing heroes will also be unlocked for players if they haven’t accessed them before. True, newcomers will still have to undergo training to become familiar with the heroes – as soon as the characters of the first part are unlocked, the heroes of the sequel will also be unlocked.

At the same time, Blizzard reminded that a new hero will appear in the 10th season of Overwatch 2 – Venture class “Assault”.

Blizzard will also reconsider its approach to mythical skins. Season 10 will introduce changes to the process of obtaining, unlocking and upgrading Mythic skins. This is realized through a special “Mythical Store”.

In this section you can unlock new and old mythical skins. Moreover, players will be able to partially upgrade one skin and then move on to another.

Starting with Season 10, players will be able to unlock coins in the Battle Pass (both paid and free). The number of free ones will increase from 540 to 600 units. Daily challenges will now reward the player with experience points for the battlepass.

Overwatch 2 will be getting three maps this year . The Nanaoka location will appear in Season 10, and Runasapi and the redesigned Colosseum in Season 11.

Overwatch 2 is available for free on PC and consoles.
