“This is the best film I have made. I won’t say this is the best film I’ll ever make. But at the moment this is the work that I am most proud of,” said the director.

The plot of the film tells the story of Oskar Schindler, a member of the Nazi Party and a successful manufacturer who saved more than 1,100 Jews during World War II. The main roles in “The List” were played by Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes and Ben Kingsley. The film won seven Oscars (including for directing) and earned $322 million at the worldwide box office.

Spielberg also considered Jonathan Glazer’s POI “the best Holocaust film I’ve seen since my own. He does a great job of raising awareness, especially about the banality of evil.”
