The director of “The Unfortunate” with Emma Stone will release his new film in the summer
The film company Searchlight Pictures announced that the next film by Yorgos Lanthimos (“The Wretched Ones,” “The Lobster”) will open in foreign theaters on June 21 this year. The film was called Kinds of Kindness.
The main role in Lanthimos’ film again went to Emma Stone, who received an acting Oscar for “The Lost and Lost.” Kinds of Kindness is a collection of three stories set in modern times in the United States.
Lanthimos wrote the script for the film together with Efthymis Philippou, with whom he had already worked on the films “Fang,” “The Lobster” and “The Killing of a Sacred Deer.”
The film also stars Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Joe Alwyn, Hunter Schaefer and Jesse Plemons.
In addition to Kinds of Kindness, Lanthimos is preparing a remake of the South Korean film Save the Green Planet! . Emma Stone is also up for the lead role in the film. The American actress is clearly determined to overtake or at least catch up with Meryl Streep in the number of acting Oscars.
