The Strong National Video Game Museum in New York has announced 12 nominees who have been shortlisted for possible induction into the World Video Game Hall of Fame in 2023.
This time the selection includes projects released from 1971 to 2013, and among them, there are quite a few big names, including the original The Last of Us for PlayStation 3.
The no less cult Golden Eye 007, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and the first part of Quake made up the competition for the hit of Naughty Dog and Sony, but it would be very ironic if the choice eventually falls on Barbie Fashion Designer instead of them – a computer dress-up game under license ” Barbie” released in 1996 for Windows and Mac. She also got into the number of nominees.

The winners will be determined through using online voting, which will last until March 22, as well as the choice of an international committee consisting of journalists and expert historians. The results will be announced on May 4th.
Last year, the Video Game Hall of Fame inducted Ms. Pacman, Dance Dance Revolution, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Sid Meier’s Civilization.
