Studios Bloober Team and Anshare Studio have released a fresh video Layers of Fear with more than 11 minutes of gameplay of the new horror.
The cutscenes introduce players to the writer, a new character whose storyline will tie all past games in the series together. In addition, the demo allows you to see the new game mechanics using the lantern, as well as evaluate the updated sound, animations, and visuals.
Layers of Fear is essentially a collection of remakes that will combine the original game, the sequel, all DLC, as well as new chapters into one storyline. The Final Note will offer an alternative take on the plot of the first part from the point of view of the artist’s wife, and The Lighthouse Chapter will tell a completely new story for the writer at the lighthouse, designed to tie all the plots together.
The project is being built on Unreal Engine 5 using the Lumen system and will support 4K, HDR, and ray tracing.
Layers of Fear will release in June on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S,, and PC via Steam.
