Toys for Bob and Sledgehammer Games closed their physical offices after layoffs at Microsoft

The recent mass layoffs at Microsoft have affected almost all of the corporation’s internal studios. Recently, journalists found out that among the victims were the developers of the remake of Spyro Reignited Trilogy from Toys for Bob. The studio lost 86 employees, forcing it to close its physical office.


In addition to Spyro Reignited Trilogy, Toys for Bob also worked on Crash Bandicoot 4 and Crash Team Battle, as well as content updates for Call of Duty Warzone.

Another studio that came under attack was Sledgehammer Games. Call of Duty developers also lost 86 employees. One of the offices was closed, and workers were distributed among other divisions of the studio.
