Users of the free version of GeForce Now will begin to see ads

An NVIDIA representative spoke with The Verge to confirm that cloud gaming service GeForce Now will begin showing commercials to users of the free version starting February 28. The measure will not affect subscribers of the Priority or Ultimate plans.

Advertising will be gentle – players will see it only when they stand in line before the start of the gaming session. The duration of the videos will not exceed two minutes. NVIDIA says advertising will help pay for the free version of GeForce Now.

Last fall, NVIDIA raised the price of GeForce Now for the third time. Prices have increased in Europe, Canada and the UK.

The monthly Ultimate plan in Canada has become $6 more expensive, in the UK – by 2 pounds, in Europe – by 2 euros. A six-month subscription has increased in price by $20, £10 and €10 respectively.
