The sequel to Lycoris Recoil, one of the best anime of the summer season of 2022, is in production and a short trailer has appeared on the A-1 Pictures YouTube channel. The video mainly uses footage from the first season, detailing the relationship between Chisato and Takina.
There are few details so far. On Twitter, the Lycoris Recoil anime is referred to as a “new animation” rather than a second season. Therefore, it is not yet clear whether this is a continuation or whether it will be a completely new project. The trailer mentions that Takina and Chisato’s story isn’t over yet, and talks about the special moments they had together and the future they chose.
Lycoris Recoil is an original action anime by A-1 Pictures that aired from July to September 2022. It follows Takina, who is a member of the all-female organization of assassins and spies Licorice, and her new position as Chisato’s partner, a former top employee of the organization.
