A sequel to The Boondock Saints is in the works from the producers of John Wick.
Deadline has revealed that a sequel to The Boondock Saints is in the works. The production will be handled by Thunder Road, which produces the films in the John Wick franchise.
Norman Reedus and Sean Patrick Flanery will return to star. It is unknown who will direct. Troy Duffy, the director of the first two parts, was previously announced, but he dropped out of the project. Next he will work on books on the universe.
The new “Boondock Saints” is expected to reveal how the McManus brothers are preparing a new cell of “saints.” The development of a threequel to The Boondock Saints first became known back in 2021.
The original Boondock Saints film was released in 1999 and gained cult status. In 2009, a sequel was released, and in 2017, Troy Duffy was going to film a prequel series, but these plans never came to fruition.
