This was stated by well-known insider Dusk Golem, who said that following the improvements to the RE Engine made by Capcom during the development of Dragon’s Dogma 2, Capcom is looking to use the advanced capabilities of the technology in the creation of Monster Hunter Wild and Resident Evil 9.

So here’s a little information I’ll share. Capcom often approves new initiatives at a rate of three in short periods.

Decent examples – RE7, RE:2 and DMCV were greenlit fairly close together to take advantage of their new RE Engine, and the idea of a RE:2 remake inspired them to also take on RE:3 and RE:4 remakes as part of the RE:3 and RE:4 remake initiative. creating remakes.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 expanded the RE Engine’s functionality for open-world games, and two other games using the technology are Monster Hunter Wild and Resident Evil 9.

The goal of all three projects was to preserve the DNA of the series. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is still clearly Dragon’s Dogma, Wild is still clearly Monster Hunter, the same will be true for RE9 with Resident Evil.
