For Dragon’s Dogma 2, a mod has been released for 99 copies of an item to change the appearance, which Capcom sells for money

While many gamers aren’t too concerned about their Reborn’s face after character creation, it’s hard to justify the fact that changing appearance isn’t a standard or easily accessible feature in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Instead, character and main pawn changes are done through the book you need buy in cities. This book, The Art of Metamorphosis, is not purchased with regular gold, but with a rarer currency called Breach Crystals, obtained by finding Breach Stones and sending a pawn to help other players.

The system itself does not cause problems – hundreds of unused crystals accumulate during the game, but Capcom is criticized for the fact that the publisher sells Breach Crystals and the Art of Metamorphosis volume as DLC. Moreover, it is not that cheap. Luckily, modders have already come up with a solution to make character conversions much easier.

With the Early N’ Cheap Art of Metamorphosis mod on Nexus, a book for changing your appearance, which usually costs 500 crystals, can be purchased from one of the earliest merchants in the game for a measly 10 gold. You’ll find this merchant in Melva, the first major city in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

The best part is that now he has as many as 99 copies of “The Art of Metamorphosis” – 10 gold for each, so you can change your appearance at least every time you start. To use the book, go to one of the Barber Shops in the major cities (you’ll find the first one in Wernworth) and select the bottom option in the shop to “Change Appearance”. The mod has one flaw – when players advance to the main town of Wernworth, some are unable to find the merchant back in Melwe. It is unclear whether he simply disappears at some point or moves somewhere else.

As for running the mod, you’ll first need one more mod: Fluffy Mod Manager . This is the same manager used for other Capcom games such as Resident Evil 4 Remake, Monster Hunter Rise and Devil May Cry 5.
