Google Play Store: poor quality app? The store reduces its visibility

Google has updated the Play Store by bringing some important innovations designed to improve the user experience and eliminate visibility to poor quality applications . In the future, it should become more difficult to come across apps that don’t meet certain minimum standards.

Google has changed the store’s algorithms to reward higher quality applications. High-scoring apps will receive higher priority in search results and, therefore, higher visibility. In addition, the best developers will benefit from the Promotional Content program , which will allow the creation of events, special content and offers.

But what are the parameters that distinguish ‘worthy’ applications from those of poor quality? An important factor concerns the carsh rate: it must be less than 1.09%. Then there is the ANR parameter, acronym for Application Not Responding: it must be less than 0.47%.

All applications that do not meet these requirements will be excluded from the store’s recommendations and will have less chance of being discovered by users.

Among other things, Google has introduced the Play Integrity API function: it helps developers protect themselves from unknown and potentially dangerous traffic.
